This is the page for Online Math Dictionary. Various terms normally used in Maths are defined with better explanation.


Average : This is the quantity obtained by adding all the quantities and dividing the total by the number of quantities.


Billion : The number 1,000,000,000 is called a billion.


Deltahedron : A polyhedron whose faces are congruent equilateral triangles is called Deltahedron.


Least Common Multiple : There might be a set of common multiples for two or more numbers. The least number of those common multiples is called the least common multiple.


Micron : 1/1,000,000 is called one micron.


Millimetre : This is unit of measurement of length equal to 1/1000 of a metre.


Million : The number 1,000,000 is called a million.


Minute : This is a unit of time equal to 1/60 of an hour. This is also a unit of an angle equal to 1/60 of a degree.


Mode : A measurement that occurs most often in the frequency distribution of data is called mode. There may be more than one mode in the set of distribution of data.


Sum : The result of adding two or more numbers or quantities.


Zero-Sum Game : Any game in which the winnings points of all players will add up to zero.
